What Opus does
Workplan lifecycle
Every workplan moves through draft, review, and approved states, with full version history and an audit trail. Educators and managers co-sign off. Plans cover a semester, trimester, or year, depending on how your institution plans.
Activity-level allocation
Allocate teaching, marking, preparation, research, service, and anything else your policies count. Activities can be assigned by unit, course, delivery mode, or cohort.
Calculation rules that match your agreement
Configurable workload rules turn scheduled hours into total workload, the way your enterprise agreement defines them. Every planner works from the same logic. Every staff member is treated the same way.
Reports and dashboards
Nine standard reports out of the box, plus custom reports built to your specification. Export to CSV, XLS, PDF, or ZIP.
Integration with your systems
Opus connects to your timetabling, HR, student management, and payroll systems through CSV imports, secure file transfer, APIs, and data warehouse platforms like Snowflake. Single sign-on with Microsoft Entra ID or any SAML identity provider.
Addressing common challenges
Proven at Chisholm Institute
Curio Opus has been built and refined with Chisholm Institute, one of Victoria's largest TAFEs. Chisholm uses Opus to plan workload for hundreds of academic staff across multiple campuses, with their enterprise agreement rules built directly into the system.
