We help early childhood education providers enhance quality, develop capabilities, and deliver better outcomes for children—especially in communities where support is most needed. From national workforce initiatives to on-the-ground professional learning, we combine policy expertise, sector experience and digital innovation to create impact.
High-quality early childhood education lays the foundation for lifelong learning, wellbeing and economic participation. Yet the sector faces persistent challenges: workforce shortages, uneven access to professional learning, complex policy reforms, and the increasing demands of regulation and family expectations. Supporting early years providers to meet these challenges requires more than good intentions—it requires capability, clarity and strategic focus.
At Curio, we help governments, peak bodies and service providers improve outcomes across the early years ecosystem. We work at the intersection of policy, learning and digital technology to co-design solutions that uplift workforce capability, embed quality practice, and create scalable impact. Whether the goal is to develop a digital learning platform, implement a national workforce strategy, or build capability in rural and regional communities, we bring sector insight, delivery experience and systems thinking to every project.
Our team combines education experts, researchers, strategists, learning designers and technologists. Together, we deliver solutions that are informed by evidence, shaped by the realities of practice, and designed to support the people who care for, educate and nurture our youngest learners.
We understand that quality in early childhood education starts with the workforce—and the systems that support it. That’s why we focus on practical, sustainable solutions that meet the sector where it is, while enabling it to grow and adapt. From targeted interventions to sector-wide transformation, we partner with clients to shape the future of early years education.

Who we serve
Kids First – All kids deserve a bright future
We learn from our very beginning with those first neurons firing and forming synapses. Although formal learning only starts at three or four years old, it is these formative early years that set us up for lifelong learning and broader experiences. It is when the foundations are laid. Early years, once largely a childcare experience are now known to be crucial and formative. If our brains are sponges for learning, in these years they are primed.
In our work with early years providers like Kids First, we advise on strategy and organisational development while partnering in the development of new digital platforms like To my future self, a self-development platform.
