In 2016, Curio Faculty helped a Melbourne university launch their own separate online university by providing a flexible online teaching offer that could scale with demand.
Today, Curio Faculty Services provides the Client with a dedicated, experienced team of 300 adjunct academic and industry specialists engaged on an as- and when-needed basis. Approximately 85% are actively engaged in industry and practice and bring authentic and contemporary knowledge and skills to the online classroom
Our adjuncts consistently achieve teaching excellence and student satisfaction rates above the industry average, with a cadre of Star Facilitators consistently delivering student satisfaction rates above 90%. This success is attributed to:
- Undertaking a rigorous recruitment, selection, and induction process that sources the best talent for the course and learners in question.
- Supporting and enabling our adjuncts to engage in and manage their engagement in scholarly learning and teaching.
- Providing free and ongoing training and support, including 1:1 coaching, and fostering a community of practice.
- Recognising and rewarding their contributions with payment by results.
- Providing a range of opportunities so that our adjuncts are engaged as much or as little as they want or need.
As our client has developed in the online education market, we have adapted our service offering to best fit, complementing their strategy and internal resources and providing flexible access to academic talent in response to market demand.
