A strategy to grow educational offerings into international markets for APA

APA is Australia’s professional physiotherapists’ peak membership body and delivers a large portfolio of education and CPD to physiotherapists, including online products. APA sought to explore the opportunity to expand its education offerings to international physiotherapists to increase revenue to reinvest in member value in Australia.

APA engaged Curio to:

  1. Assess APA’s unique strengths and advantages from its education business
  2. Identify a short list of priority markets to target
  3. Establish an international education model that best captures the market opportunity and aligns with APA’s strengths

APA assessed 22 markets against agreed prioritization criteria and identified a short list of markets with a proposed international model. The international education strategy was approved by the Board.

APA then engaged Curio to validate the products to a great level of detail, develop a go-to-market strategy and a business case with a detailed financial model. Curio completed the business case which was approved by the Board for APA executives to implement.
